A ceramic coating is a liquid silica polymer that bonds to your clear coat and cures into a hard, hydrophobic layer. It is not a wax and it is not a sealant. Wax sits on the paint and lasts weeks. A sealant bonds loosely and lasts months. A coating becomes a semi-permanent sacrificial layer measured in years.
Three things make that worth more in Arizona than almost anywhere else:
What a coating will not do. It will not remove damage that already exists. Coating over swirls, etching or oxidation seals them in permanently. That is why both packages include an enhancement service, and why we inspect the paint before quoting — if the vehicle needs more correction than the enhancement provides, we tell you and price it separately rather than coating over the problem.
It also does not make a vehicle scratch-proof or wash-free. Coated cars still need washing. They just wash far more easily, and they stop losing gloss at the rate an uncoated Arizona car does.
