The sun-damage list. Yellowed headlights, chalked trim and cabins that sat all summer — the four add-ons Mesa actually books.
Every service runs in Mesa: Inside & Exterior Detail, Interior Detailing, Exterior Detailing, Ceramic Coating, Paint Correction, and Detailing Add-Ons — each performed at your home or office, with the same pricing we quote anywhere in the East Valley.
Patriot Auto Detailing offers eight specialty add-on services that stack onto any base detail in Mesa, Arizona: pet hair removal, black trim restoration, engine bay cleaning, headlight restoration, carpet shampoo, seat shampoo, ozone odor treatment and water spot removal. Add-ons are booked alongside a base service because most require the vehicle to already be clean. Headlight restoration and engine bay cleaning can be booked standalone. Call or text (480) 336-9295.
Add-on demand tracks local conditions, and Mesa's list is a sun-damage list. Where Gilbert books water spot removal and Apache Junction books engine bay cleaning, Mesa books the two services that undo ultraviolet damage — plus one that handles what happens to a car left closed for five months.
Headlight restoration. This is the number one add-on in Mesa and it is not close. Headlight lenses are polycarbonate with a thin factory UV hardcoat, and that hardcoat has a service life measured in years of sun exposure. Under roughly 300 sunny days a year, on vehicles parked in carports and open lots across Dobson Ranch, Superstition Springs and Las Sendas, it fails early. The lens underneath then oxidises: first a haze, then the familiar yellow, then a milky opacity that measurably cuts light output at night.
The critical detail is the topcoat. A restoration that sands and polishes the yellowing away without sealing the fresh surface is exposing bare polycarbonate to Arizona sun — it starts re-clouding within about six months. With a UV topcoat it holds twelve to twenty-four months here. We include the topcoat, and if your last restoration went yellow in under a year, a missing topcoat is almost certainly why.
Black trim restoration. Same mechanism, different material. UV chalks black plastic trim — mirror caps, cowl panels, bumper inserts, roof rails — faster than almost anything else on a vehicle. On a Mesa daily driver it is the single detail that ages the car most visibly, more than paint fade, because the contrast against the body panel makes it obvious. Worth knowing: trim restoration is already included in the Presidential Exterior, so as a standalone add-on it only makes sense paired with an Patriot Detail.
Ozone treatment. Mesa's seasonal-resident population drives this one. A vehicle sealed from April to October in Arizona heat develops moisture in the carpet padding and bacterial growth in the cabin filter and vent housings, and the result is a musty smell that a vacuum and wipe-down does not touch. Ozone neutralises it at the molecular level rather than masking it. Extraction handles most cases; ozone handles what extraction leaves.
Engine bay cleaning. Steady rather than seasonal, and mostly pre-sale. Mesa moves a lot of private-party vehicles and a clean bay reads as a maintained car to a buyer.
The rest — pet hair, carpet and seat shampoo, water spot removal — come up regularly but are not Mesa-specific. Check the right-hand column of the table below before adding any of them, because several are already in the Presidential tiers.

Check the right-hand column first — several are already included in the Presidential tiers.
| Add-On | What It Solves | Mesa Demand | Already Included In |

| Black Trim Restoration | UV-chalked plastic trim | High — the detail that ages a Mesa car most | Presidential Exterior |
| Ozone Treatment | Musty, smoke, pet and mildew odors | High — cars closed up over summer | — |
| Engine Bay Cleaning | Degreased and dressed engine bay | Steady — mostly pre-sale prep | — |
| Pet Hair Removal | Embedded hair suction will not lift | Moderate | Presidential Interior |

| Water Spot Removal | Mineral deposits on glass and paint | Lower than Gilbert — less reclaimed irrigation | — |
Three ways to add them. None require a separate booking.
Put it in the booking form notes. We confirm and bring the right equipment — headlight and ozone kit do not live in the van by default.
Call (480) 336-9295 and describe the problem. Often the answer is that your base tier already covers it.
If we spot trim or lenses worse than expected we quote it there, before starting — never after.
Presidential Interior already covers pet hair, carpet and seat shampoo. Presidential Exterior already covers trim restoration. We will not sell you something twice.

Hillside, high elevation, minimal shade. Longest daily UV exposure in Mesa.
New builds, new paint. The right moment to protect rather than correct.
